Well the gate is 99% done now. After a giant push to fold an extra 140 scales, I came home, had a tin of lager and went to work. The scales where all inplace in less than two hours. I have and extra strip that will go along the peak of the roof but won't have that in my hands until Tuesday morning. Plus, my brother in law who will make the wooden dowels is still away on vacation, so that is also yet to come. The only major chore left is the paving around the gate.

The doors themselves were a bit to plain for my liking so I cut a hole in them but still retained the integrity of the door by leaving a piece of each slat.

Looking fantastic Scotty. Can't wait to see the finished article. Will you add any colour to the scales or simple "mettalic" finish?

Well all said and done it is finished (with the small exception of driving in the pegs/dowels) But that will not change the visual all that much. The only real difference in these pictures is that the plants are in and it's been cleaned up.
I have decided to dedicate this spot as the new "Smokers Corner". So if you want to have a fag when visiting, this is where you get sent to!
So here are the pictures of the finished product...

Awesome mate not much more to be said! Stunning. Do you reckon you could do one on a larger scale?

Could do, but not without some more machinery and some heavy lifting equipment Jules. Any bigger would need a wood working shop to do it right.

Out in back you are free to smoke as much of whatever you choose... just no butts in the pond or on the ground please!

Had a young friend visit from the USA a while back. On the last night he spent most of his time out back I turned to his brother who doesn't smoke and said "MUST... FINISH...

DOPE

CAN'T TAKE...
