Hi Arthur Joe,

Guess that the main man when it comes to pond heating is a tad busy preparing for the South East show at the weekend; out polishing his Koi!, not that they need it!

I heat by gas 6000 gallons main pond plus 1000g in the growing on, run a 230K HX on Main pond with a flow through the HX of 2500gph. 100K BTU HX on the growing on with a flow of 2000gph.

My understanding is that the flow rates are important when sizing the HXs, what rates are you looking at?

What do you want to get out of the boiler? - do you want to heat to 16 in the winter covered or 20 uncovered!!

Regards

Dave
