Work has commenced converting my old work shop which was to become a summer house but will now become a fish house , and believe it or not it was Sonia's idea . I had nothing to do with the decision , I just sat back and let it happen

Anyway I hope to squeeze in a
water storage tank ,
a growing on tank ,
and one or two QT,s.
Firstly Id like to know if any one stores water ready to top up their pond after flushing filters and water changing .
any one had a problem with stored water . I would think best put through a purifier covered kept dark and aerated.
I hope to hold about 800 gls. but as this will weigh nearly 3 1/2 tons I might have to reduce that amount as I am thinking of a narrow tall storage tank, the other option is perhaps some heavy steel work to hold a raised tank reduced in size above part of the G.O.Tank.
I'd also like your thoughts on a good size growing on tank, obviously the bigger the better, what about depth ,temp, and filtration.
and your thoughts regarding what size QT works best, needs to take a large fish against running cost of large volumes of water.
All these tanks are self build so any shape or size is possible as long as it fits within the fish house, which is approx. 15ft X 12ft.
Dave when I spoke to you the last time you and Deb were over the wine was flowing and the girls were so good at extracting the "P" mate I don't remember any of what you said so sorry if you have to repeat it.
