Speak to Des he had one and was not too impressed. Could it be this years trendiest piece of kit that achieves very little for a lot? Who knows?

Hi Jules,

How are you doing. I've got one. Gadget mad as you know.

They do work but you do need a pressure pump - Badu type etc - still got the one I had off of you. It does reduce the flow a bit but then again it stops a bit more rubbish going into the Bead filter. The pressure in my bead filter hardly changes with the reduced flow.

Quite surprising what it takes out of the water, esp when I thought it was crystal beforehand - you are welcome to view it for yourself if you are passing.

Indeed I will take you up on that offer. I have to drop into PC world over your way tomorrow, are you around and if so what time?

I will also bring over the feeder for you to look at too, another gadget

Hi Jules, Sorry, I didn't see your post until after work this evening. I left a message on your mobile( or someone's anyway!) Any eve but Thursday after 6.30 or the weekend. Just call to see if we are in.

Dave e,
I don't know the promax pump so I really can't say. You need a pressure pump with a lot of "head" not just circulation - Badu 8 is 14.5m max. I see the promax 20k is 8m so I would suggest that you would see a lot of flow reduction so whilst it would "work" what would the reduced flow do to your filtration?

I would get one again if I had the cash to splash, it is a luxury, and I have an Aquadyne 2.2B which is awesome.

Hi Ian.

No worries. I picked up your message earkier, a bit too late for my plans but I will be in touch later in the week. Aquadyne 8.8 is another story! I have never been so impressed with a filter! Awesome piece of kit and trashes all the competition!

Yes have one on the QT run by a Aquamax 10,000 - not impressed
was told it takes out all the bits but must say does nothing for me
I think you need a pressure pump high turn over - not what it says on the tin !!!

If you have a bead filter with pressure pump - fine but a luxury

So if you really want to buy one give me a shout I have one for sale !!!!!

Save your money

I'm on my second one now. Bought one,but wasn't sure that it was doing any good. Was definitely reducing my flow considerably so I got rid of it. Bought another one recently and put it on my skimmer. IMHO it's not worth the money. I wish I'd spent the money on something else!!
