I wouldn`t have thought it was a `hop up`myself. If you are a shorter person, it would be far easier to clamber on to the feeding shelf thingy to get yourself out, than to try using a much deeper box in the corner.

I`d guess the structure covers up some `immovable` object below ground like a rock or pipe, that he couldn`t remove.

Oh well You lot will never get it, even with Bob`s clue. When I started digging the pond unfortunatley I unearthed a Bully that we had lost a few years before. I thought she was about 3 feet further left :oops: So the discision was taken to dig around Her and leave Her in peace. I bet not to many ponds have a dog fish in :lol:
