The filter has been running about 3 days now and the water clarity is superbe. The pit is approximately 4ft deep and hold just over 2’000 gallons and the filter holds another 500 gallons. The first 3 pictures are of the system working with only one pump, the 4th picture is some of my little ones. The last picture is with both pumps running and I know that it’s a bit OTT but if your going to do the job do it in style.
Hope you like the outcome, the pit will stay until next spring when I hope that this will be the venue for pond number 2 planning now and I think another 10 ft longer a couple of extra feet wider and a comfortable 9ft deep.

Phil

Thought I would post my very first dump of my filter, I'm totaly gobsmacked.
The first picture is self explanatory, the next two are views inside the filter via one of the corner caps which I explained that I fited so that I would have axcess to the inside of the filter.
Just look at the crud after a 2 minute bubble purge and there is 200 gallons of it. I'm dead chuffed and the water comming out of the filter is absolutely clear. Once I get around to using all these Gizmos that Gazza has sent me I give you some reading, but PH 7.5 and KH 7.
