ct treatment

Post by johno »

Hi all,
Want to treat for flukes with ct at 20gms per 1000gals for three consecutive days with one weeks rest then retreat one dose 20gms per 1000gals as per duncans wright up.
Do i need to bypass my nexus or let the ct run through it as it would kill the good bacteria?
Thanks in advance, John

Any treatment needs to rub through your filter to be effective. It will knock your filter but it should recover quickly just don't feed much that is only my opinion

Dunc,
Sorry for so long in replying, already treated the three days but by passed the filters treating tonight one week later so will let it go through the filters.
I have enough ct to redose if needed to go through the filter.
Water hardness is 7
ph 7.5
kh 3 low really
nitrite 0
nitrate 10 bit of green water
ammonia 0
Thanks Dunc Johno
