For anyone who has not done this course I can highly recommend it,it will change the way you look at Koi health and give you a great deal of confidence when treating your Koi for any health problems.

Hi Gazza;
Perhaps we can split the work and still offer the course with Duncan's leadership. I am pretty sure that Sparsholt College just round the corner from me would provide the support to add it to their already in place one day course.

I have just completed Duncan's course it's an eye opener as Gazza has stated but I can honestly say I found it enjoyable and would recommend it to anyone who hasn't done it.
It makes you look at things from a different perspective given the scenarios etc that are part of it.
So a big thank you to Duncan well worth the money. :wink:

Hi Gazza

I thought it would be in depth but to be honest didn't think it would be as in depth as it was so to be fair to Duncan he certainly knows how to get the mind thinking.
I thought it was great.

Hi Gazza

I have heard about that one and good things about it as well, i take it this is generally a meet up somewhere for this, i will have to keep my eye out to see if he runs one.

Hi Dave,

Unfortunately i am not sure if Dunc will run another one as they are run from his house with all his equipment and we normally have a few sick fish ti repair and look at. It goes the full circle from handling fish to how to treat and what with and even autopsy.

Oh well not to worry hes a busy man for sure, ive had my fair share of treating sick fish when i first started out along with looking after a friends pond when he was hit heavily with a bacterial infection. Just thought that would have been a good one for them save me having to deal with it for them.

Dont know if my stomach could take an autopsy looks bad enough on the pictures Duncan posted. :o

Saying that i tried to get them to do the online course but didnt have a lot of joy, it takes time to read up etc but i thoroughly enjoyed it.

I was looking at taking the OATA course next i know this is mainly based at water quality etc but wouldnt mind another certificate under my belt as they say.
