I had a re read bob your right.
I dont think you'll get the TDS lower than the tap water John.

I did say I was bad at explaining myself.
How are mini and the tds doing?
Cheers

Gazza that’s a compliment to your water management skills.
It seems that my poor way of explaining myself is confusing the issue on tds.
So I will try not to mention it again (not promising though lol)
Or try to word things better.

390 this morning John.

Does show though, that however good you filter is, you cant beat changing a bit of water to reduce the organic loading - especially if over stocked and over feeding.

Coming down nicely bob.
I was going to suggest asking dunken if he puts clay in the food, but that would have caused a rise in the ponds GH reading. But even that’s down on the input water.
So I guess that’s a no no.
You have convinced me I will have to get a replacement.
Over stocked over fed. I wish lol

Actually John, I don't believe clay make much of a difference as most all of is is suspended and not dissolved in the water column.

Your rights Scott don’t know what I was thinking of there.

Cheers gazza. Any way if there’s not enough room in the pond, I have loads of room in mine.

Bob have you checked the nitrate, if its not being gassed of by the shower could be responsible for a large amount of deficit
