Hi everyone,

Just arrived in Mihari, which is near Horishima and are staying in the Hotel Yassa. Nice room again and with Wifi this time so Gazza and myself can be on-line at the same time.

Had a great day at Momotaro's today and will put some pictures up shortly. It's just which ones to start with, I took about 150 pictures and others took more than me!!!!!!

Waiting for Mike and Darren to turn up as well as Glenn and Annette, then I'm sure we'll be out for a bevvy or two.

I've still got to download most of the pictures from my larger camera, here's a couple from the small point and shoot camera.

My Maeda sexing and selecting Kohaku's. These had been harvested just before we arrived and more were then added while we watched.

These Koi we asked to be bowled and for prices. Prices were good and purchases are being thought about. The only reason for this is it was our first visit to any breeder and we dont know what else is available. It just seemed to quick to be buying and Mike wasnt even with us. We'll discuss with Mike later and I know we'll be popping back anyway. Sorry about the glare, I'll put some better ones up off of the camera with a polaroid lense later, ot possibly early tomorrow morning.

Who's left standing?

Me.

Everyone else has bombed out. Poor Mike looked absolutely shattered tonight, he has drove 5 or 600 km............ He and a few others left early for a quite night.

Glenn got stuck with some dumb nurd (no not Darren, he only picked the bar, Darren got busy drooling over some very skinny girl in a black and white dress, and nooooooo it wasn't me who smelt of arm pit sweat tonight.......... black and white nylon knits do horrid things to darkened armpits) then when we left Darren did a classy pee up the pole, (wait for the pictures, but I bet I will be banned/told not to show then, certainly not a baby champion I heard, and apparently nothing the flash could pick up according to Glenn).

But I am worried about Greg and Amir, they did not eat to much tonight - we went to a bbq restaurant, with probably one of the best loos I have seen. Very pretty and ornate with interesting steps and floors.

Hi koiette,
Sounds like you are having great fun out there. I really enjoy your posts as they are always so detailed and interesting.
You say Amir is not eating much I knew he would be fussy with the food. I went out and got him noodles to try before he left - the packet remains unopened in the cupboard! He will eat egg fried rice and maybe some cooked fish but thats about it.
He is so funny he was searching "Indian restaurants in Japan" before he left!!! Is Greg finding the food a little strange? Even if they grab themselves some fruit or something its better than nothing. Sorry, I am carrying on like the worrying wife that I am!!!

Anyway hope you all have another fantastic day tomorrow, we shall look forward to your post/pictures.

Kind Regards
Zarina x

Up a bit later this morning, it's 8.30, due to having a few too many beers last night. A great BBQ, ate loads, then went onto a local pub. A few of us stayed on a bit later and had a few more beers, Darren made lots of 'friends', he will chat with anyone - 'sweet'.

Off to Takigawa today, then driving towards Matsue where we will go tomorrow morning. Another busy day in paradise!

Will see if we can put up some more pictures later, off to breakfast soon

Hi all,

Went to Takigawa today and he is a popular breeder. He is well known for his Goromo, although in the Nisai saizes he didnt seem to have a lot of decent stuff left. Only 2 Koi purchased today, one by Chris (honorary Muppet from oop North) and Darren. I'll upload some pictures onto my Laptop shortly and then see if I have time to put them onto KoiPix and then on here. Have got loads of pictures from yesterday and today, just need some time to 'do' them. I'm sure I'll end up putting more up when I get home.
Saw plenty of quality large Koi today, visited all the secret Koi houses, something you only get to see when with Mike Snaden. There was some real woppers there, millions of Yen!!!!

Takigawa San even bought us lunch and gave out calendars. In return he got a 'Muppet tour' laminated poster to put up!

We've just arrived in Matsue, after leaving Takigawa today and driving for about 3-hours to get here. During our journey, we had an intelligent conversation with Darren about Koi appreciation, the rest of the 2-hours 59-minutes we listetned to music. So tomorrow we'll be visiting Matsue, maybe Yamatoya and then driving down to Kushu Island to visit Ueno the next day.
