It was worth the days work just to see Bob and power tools working in perfect harmony
I kept cracking up on the way home  I always thought that water and electric should never be mixed. :?

Yeah you'd think that Justin!!!!

I'm an electrician, did I tell you and I work for the local Water company - seemed to get them all mixed up today.

Good day though

Wish I'd built that pond 12-years ago a little bit easier to demolish - why of why did I back fill everything with concrete???????

Got to decide on the depth today Gerry, whether to keep going downwards until I reach Australia, or decide that this depth will be OK. At best I'll only get another 6" anyway.

Lots of tidying up of the bottom drain area's today, cut away all the fibreglass, see what we have underneath. Underthere should be another glassed floor, from a previous change - it's just how far down is it.

Hi Bob

What's filtering your pond at the moment.

Apart from your bakki shower, got a spare vortex and some K1, if it helps.

Regards

Hi Andy - yes just the shower, but it should be OK. The pond is 8500 gallons and shower is turning over 3500 gallons/hour. Koi not being fed either, water temoerature around 13 degrees. Stuck some more aeration on this morning as well.

Gazza/Justin - was fun wasnt it. Got through some drilling machines as well. Even had to repair the breaker this morning, fault on the cable near the switch.

Had forgotton about that Danny

Well everything that needed to come out, is now out and the breaker can go back tomorrow - thank goodness. I now ache even more.

Still tomorrow it gets even better - rendering the walls - now that's something I've been looking forward to, not. Lots of swearing coming up tomorrow, but it will get done. Nothing defeats dangerous Brian!!!!!!!!!!

No pictures tonight, too tired, get some for you tomorrow.

Good day today, made some positive progress:

- Fibre glassed in a new bottom drain pipe to the existing pipes
- Built the side wall up where the old Vortex side was
- Cleared up the bottom of the whole area, chipped off all the high spots and swept it all
- Fitted hoover pipe through the wall
- Rendered the walls - this went well, I must be improving!

This is what it looks like now

Tomorrow I'll fit a membrane, then screed the floor with sharp sand/cement mix. Hoping to get that with a good finish to save having to render it - depends how well I do it!

Lots of bits and bobs to do though, prior to glassing it perhaps Friday or Sunday.
