Hi Al

Tancho Sanke will be 3 in the spring.

Tancho is 4, but she has had a set back, had quite a nasty ulcer and damage to a peck and anal fin, but we nursed her through, nice fish.

The Sakai sanke, was brought this time last year from the Tatigoi pond at the Barn, the verdicts out on this one, he's male, so he will have to become very good to stay in my pond, but like my other Sakai male ( got 1st at the National in size 4 ) hopefully the fish will develop, nice shape for a small fish.

All these are in the pond rather than growing on in the koi hse.

Still not sure if I should show the Tancho Sanke this year or wait till next, I will bowl her Saturday morning and see.

Regards

Hi Andy
I think all of your Koi are wonderful, and what I have noticed is the colours are so clean. I got my 61cm Kohaku at the begining of July and her fins and around her face is slightly yellow, which is so annoying so can I ask what food do feed, and do feed fro colour and colour and growth or both sorry to ask so many questions.

Jen I have a one that has 3 barbles on one side, he is our oldest as my mum bought him 10 years ago. But reading about Koi they all started way back with 3 barbles so I suppose over time they have just lost one as they are not needed.

Hi Andy,

The picture of the Sanke don't do it justice as its skin quality is very good but as you say some would not like the pattern but i can suffer it lol it was hand picked by Gary at Dream Koi :D

The Showa now thats a different mater its not a bad fish i think with plenty to do,it will look absolutely stunning if i can get it to a good old size (IMO) and the Sumi is going to be full on which is why i got it as i thought it could be interesting to see it develop which is the same reason Mikey bought it

Male or female well we thought it was female but if it is she is a slow grower but we will have to wait and see will i sell her...what do you think :?:

Let me see if i can find some other shots of the Showa for you and then you will see it may not be as good as you thought 8)
