I hope this give's you an idea of how it is looking. The final size came out at 12 1/2 ft by 7ft by 5ft deep, so we ended up with another half a foot on what we thought it would be, oh dear what a shame more gallonage  I added the PP on saturday and it has only just started to turn brown so hopefully it wont be to long before I can add the koi. I will be using the black box filter and pump for a few week's so it give's the shower time to mature, but the koi will be finally at home.

It has taken a long long time to finish this pond, it was started to be dug on the 28th March 2005 and it was finished on 6th May 2006, I wonder if there is a record for the longest time in building a pond

I can not thank Bob Hart enough for what he has done for me, he has made my dream come true, and I can never thank him enough for that, he has taught me so much in koi keeping and he has given me the convidence to do thing's with the koi that I thought I would never do. But the pond is the best pond in the world in my eye's and for that I will be forever in debt to Bob. So thank you Bob for everything :D :D :D :D

Hi Kim

Looks like you finally got it sorted :D The last picture shows you are getting good flow out of your shower.
Are you pumping straight from your bottom drain to the shower or have you got some kind of pre-shower filter?
Glad you had a window, wouldn't have a pond without one now :D
atleast we are getting some nice weather to enjoy our ponds now.

xxx

p.s. any chance of bigger pictures next time?

Hi Everyone
Thank you for the kind comment's, I can not tell you how good it feel's to finally have it finished, the PP has gone brown so it is only a matter of waiting for the water to clear before I can put the koi in, which wont be a minute to soon.

Hi Pete
It was lovely to meet you on sunday. The pond goes to a vortex then is pumped upto the Bakki Shower, the pump is a Sequence 10000 and the pump from the skimmer is an Aquamax 5500 so there is about 2270 gallon's an hour going through the shower, I am totally amased at the amount of air the water pick's up whilst going through, I find myself just sitting watching the water  How sad.

Gazza
I make you totally right about putting his feet up, he has done an amasing job, and he didn't stop, he even fitted the while eating a pasty, what's the betting he already has the next job lined. But hasn't he done a brilliant job :D
