Managed to find time to take a picture of the copings and decking extension. Repainting pergola at the moment to compliment the new pond.

A big thank you to Dave A doing the glassing last Friday. There on time as promised and once he is started there is no stopping him.

Dave - I didn't get that many compliments about the pond at the birthday barbecue as it was sheeted up and there was a thunderstorm for most of it! I will have another do as soon as it is filled up.

Sorry there are no pics tonight. My internet has been down for days and I have only just got it going again and I have been too busy to get the camera on it. Should be some on tomorrow.

Internet problems just about sorted now but still no decent pictures. Got this one from Sunday - the fill up begins! :D

It's full now but still busy sorting out air etc. and shifting some fish so more pics to come.

It looks great now!

Got my first picture of it full last night. Will get some better ones when we get some better weather and light. 2400 gallons in the end - less than I wanted but more than I expected so I should be happy.

The thing that no one has said that the slopping sides will be a gold mine for the koi to flick/flash on if theres problems ever in the pond.

If the koi want to flick/flash, then they will do, its an instinct, reguardless of the pond shape. Its all about damage limitations, keeping surfaces free from sticky out bits, and pipework etc.
Cant see any probs from the pics, all looks fine and dandy to me.

flashing on a wall that is straight then goes over is dangerous and id never even contomplate doing it like that
completly straight walls no damage will occor only damage if you have petrudding areas which i class as one, no problem to me anyway not my pond
