It surprising how many people are advised that pressure filters are fine for koi ponds, i think the packaging should clearly state that they are not suitable. When i constructed my first pond they seamed to be the perfect answer two months later after a lot of heartache i removed and put my Nexus in, never had a problem since.

Would it not be possible to use the this filter between the first and second filter so the static K1 has removed all the rubbish, it then passes through this filter which if it was mine I would run with nothing in it and just use the uvc then through the moving K1, the only problem I could see is the amount of pipework would reduce the flow. The only cleaning it would need then would be checking to make sure noting has got through which is very unlikely as the static K1 will of removed most if not all of the rubbish, with no sponges or biological media in this filter it would just be uvc
