Hi Dunc and thanks for this post , I was at the window about an hour ago and trying to see the difference on some of my fish not that I'm any wiser , the vent on some of my females appears to be changing and I assume its a sign they are soon to spawn or am I mistaken

I'm going for B - for no other reason than I can't find any koi in my pond that look like it!! :?

Cheers

Well I think A is female because I'm sure I read in a carp angling book millions of years ago that the female vent was off-centre. But I may have been thinking of something else............ :D

The other reason I chose b/ is the male vent should look like a 'V' and be slightly sunken... a/ looks more like a 'V' ... so b/female :|
