FRY!!

Post by Eclipsar »

Well the good news is that both spawnings have hatched, the Showa spawning looks like they are a very good size for the age along with a good hatch rate. Photo is of the showa spawning, not the best in the world, but gives you a idea.

Hi Chris

What a great photo and shows the start of a life which is great to follow and watch develope. A few years ago I was able to rear some fry that were very kindly given to me and although Shiro Muji's are not meant to be kept I did keep one and what a stunner he is his, great shape and I am really proud of him. I wish you good luck with this years babies and hope to watch them develope with you :D

This is a picture of the Kohaku fry at a week old, these have grown at a alarming rate and there are loads of them as they are all over the pond.

No, you do not want to start culling kohaku until they are around 6 weeks old. Then you should be able to see what you have.
