hi there im hopeless at types of koi and i had this out today so i took a pic i was wondering what type it is

Well I may well be corrected by the people who know WAY more than me, but I would say that it was a very white Kindai Showa as it has black on the head which I believe showas shouldn't. And it's not a tancho as the Hi isn't confined just to the head.

cant agree lee \ eds ...i think its a straight up maruten sanke , theres hardly any motoguru in the pecs , and i cant see any black on the head at all past the gill plate .....expert required .......prepared as always to be shot down :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :wink: :wink:

the simple way to look at it is this, if you took the beni away ( imagine its not there for a minute) would it be bekko or shiro?

bekko all the way so its a sanke

Sanke

and if its a young male (which it looks like) then the red will fade. Its too red too early
