i have searched the web and aquatic dealers and had no luck so far.
I am idealy looking for 8 foot dia x 2 foot deep.........to fit inside an intex 10 foot pool. alternatively a source for mosquito netting so i can get a holding net sewn up.

wow that was a quick response,
however i have already found that site for the brushes. I need a holding net so that the fry don't get sucked into the pump.

have you not thought about getting a very fine net, i.e. a small fishing net, and breaking that down somehow. Lisa or Mark Davis might be able to help on this one. You there Lisa??

ok I have a source for nylon filter cloth, (allied filter systems in manchester).........I need some idea as to the hole size i can use. too small and i will not get enough water flow through, plus more exspensive the smaller the holes, or too large and the eggs / fry will pass through.

I would guess at 300 micron, (0.012") but only based on a seat of the pants guess.

does anyone have any idea what size is used.

thanks,
james.

Hi James

We don't use spawning nets, but a good company to try might be Norfine Nets www.norfinenets.co.uk

They can make custom made nets to order. You will need the mesh that is used on the white open weave pond nets that they sell. This is the material that we ask them to make custom sized cage nets for us which we use when culling. You will need to discuss with them what guage of mesh they can supply.

Good luck with the spawning.
