Well everyone, the weather finally came good and a few days of work, another skip and a bit of sweat and we seem to be getting somewhere. My brother even turned up for a couple of hours and cut me some blocks The dog couldn't h...

If I had known you did blockwork as well I would have had you in before the rains started Dave! I have a mixer on loan from a friend now but have been unable to make any progress as with the constant rain the hole keeps filling up. For obvious reasons I have abandoned the 'thin wall well backfilled'...

The pond edge just couldn't hold out anymore and the serious rainfall has finally won. A few bits had fallen in over the last week but today it really went. Worryingly close to our boundary fence now... I am sure there ...

He did but I think he removed it. I pm'd about location and then about it's transportability but it then dissapeared so I think it went.

Jason - do you have anymore info on the seller?

The ones I have been watching keep going for too much. Was yours from an ebay shop or was it a one off?

Can't hold back Jason - must keep on going! Roz originally said when I started it that she wanted it finished by May. :D Haven't managed to get a mixer yet so looks like I will be mixing mortar by hand. Must do some shopping for blocks etc this week but if I don't get sorted I will start on pipework.

It's no good, I won't be persuaded. We simply cannot do another skip. That is three now and there was a hole there before we started! It has got very difficult to get the stuff over the wall and into the barrow. The dog did pretty much what she is doing in the phot Gazza - nothing! I tried to coax h...

Well, one step at a time. I will have to revisit this with you all at a later date. Must get the current equipment up and working in the new pond before I go on to this.

Tap water has a pretty high nitrate level round here Scottie!

Well I managed to come to deal with my wife and we got another skip. It has got a bit deeper and a bit longer, the filter house extension is dug and the channel for the drainage pipe. But that is definitely it for the digging - three skips and we won't be getting another. [img]http://www.koivista.co...

Thanks for the info Gazza. So, you have gone for the air filled line option which I was also erring towards. It apparantly comes with an adapter to put in the end of the pressure pipe to convert to a hose if required. I fear the water filled option was going to cost me with valves and connecting to ...
