Re: Dermocystidium new treatment

All,

And I hope Duncan 'pops in' to see this...... :D

I bowled my Chagoi again this morning for a quick inspection. I really think that the dermo is looking beaten! Photos below.

Best Wishes to all,
Paul T.

Re: Dermocystidium new treatment

Given all that's been going on lately, I haven't posted an update for a while. And given that the nonsense seems to go on and on I'm a bit reluctant to post this, as it seems so trivial given what what Duncan and his wife are going through. But I said on another thread that I would sort out an updat...

Re: Skin Fluke

Hello Darren, I treated with Fluke-M mixed with acetone (as recommended here), a few months ago. I didn't notice any after effects and recent scrapes have confirmed that the treatment was effective. Any particular reason that you are worried about overdosing? I'm sure others can add much more inform...

Re: packing it all in

Hello Dunc, Its great to hear that you are re-kindling your personal love for the hobby - this is great news as it really is the most important thing. Don't let anyone take that from you. I'm also really pleased to hear that your book will remain available to those that don't have it already. Despit...

Hello Dunc, Its really nice to see you posting and that to see your progressing with your RO work, on that thread. Thanks for the reply regarding the costia. The dermo is massively improved, but 100% gone? I'm not sure. I have a couple of 'sets' of progress pictures to update that thread with and I'...

I carried out a PP treatment for Costia yesterday. Would you automatically follow this up with a second treatment, after the appropriate number of days, as recommended for a MG&F costia treatment? I believe one pass is usually sufficient to clear the majority, with a second recommended for any s...

Re: Dermocystidium new treatment

A quick update, with a picture taken this morning. I think this looks very promising - I'm not sure the photo shows it too well, but the larger site is more or less completely flat - It's early days, but this looks to me like the dermo may be beaten here. On the smaller site, there is one lump formi...

DNH - Do No Harm, I believe. Something I'm a big fan of, wherever possible. :)

Good luck with this, let us know how it goes.

Re: Dermocystidium new treatment

OK, I took an update pic on Sunday - 9 days after Duncan worked on the fish. I've attached these below. I think we have to wait a while longer to draw any conclusions.
