Re: Help with bakki shower.

Hi Gazza, BB was ment to be BD as in bottom drain, so ive edited that. My concern is not having enough hight, water drop or gap (14 inches ish) between the Compact Sieve outlet and the pond top, so i could use 3 trays at 12cm deep or use 2 trays at 17cm deep, the 12cm have less gap between media and...

Re: On going problem

"treat with Myrocrome then seal"
Is this all the products you used to treat the area, did you use hydrogen peroxide at all ?
Has your Myrocrome gone off, not Myrocrome anymore ? (if that can happen ?).
Did you check scales around the one pulled for roughness ?
Have you scraped and scoped ?

Re: only areating k1 media for 15 - 30 mins a day, your thou

More thinking, its the root canal making my brain hurt.. What processes are performed by the new growth beneficial bacteria (if any) to remove the old stuff, or does the new growth become the top layer while the older layers become the ancher...? Thats makes sence just like tartar on teeth its stayi...

Re: only areating k1 media for 15 - 30 mins a day, your thou

My thinking.. The beneficial bacteria in the nitrogen cycle live on pond walls, floor, media and pipe work that has 1000 plus gallons an hour passing through it, so the sloughing off of old bacteria still take place within the pipe without destroying new beneficial bacteria growth, the aerated K1 ha...

retro aerated bottom drain air volume ?

I would like to run the retro aerated bottom drain and a K1 chamber using 6 round 2" stones from one HiBlow 40.

when I have used the HiBlow 40 to retro aerated bottom drain there is lots of back pressure vented, would this effect the air in the K1 chamber ?

What would you advice ?

Thanks.
