Air powered return

I don't know is you've seen on my 'build' thread (It's in quotes as no building has taken place for a long, long time...) but I'm planning a change of plan for my pond. I was planning the bottom drain and surface skimmer to both gravity feed into a seive, then pump straight from there via a pipe pum...

Re: Ed's pond build

Cheers guys - wish I could claim credit but a mate did that for me! He's a brickie and a damn good one! (anyone in the Nottingham area needs one then PM me!) He did all the block and brickwork in an afternoon though that was at a bit of hectic rate - would normally take a bit longer than that! What ...

Re: Ed's pond build

My pond build is slowly progressing (due to bad weather, work commitments etc.) and this is where I've got up to. http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p169/edseeley/Pond%20build/02072011475.jpg http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p169/edseeley/Pond%20build/02072011473.jpg I'm updating as I could do wit...

Re: A New Toy

Looks very smart Gaz! Like how it fixes to the side rather than just resting on something - might be a much better option for the pond in my greenhouse.

Re: Tropical fish with Trich

Sorry Duncan i wasn't ignoring you but typed a long response on my phone and then lost it and haven't had time to come back online since. I ended up using another waterlife medication on recommendation from another Tanganyikan keeper. The Protozin seems to have done the job for now.

Re: Tropical fish with Trich

Cheers guys. i think MG and F will be the treatment of choice as there's a cichlid treatment called Clout available in the states that is a combination of Dimetradiazole, MG and Trichlorphon (which apparently banned over here) so I guess MG and F will be ok with the Dimetradiazole already in the tan...

Tropical fish with Trich

Hi guys, Hoping you can help me with a slightly different issue! I've got a tank of Tanganyikan cichlids and recently got some new fish. I already had some F1 Neolamprologus helianthus (fairly tough lyretailed cichlids similar to a more common species called brics) and some tank bred shell dwellers,...

Re: Water Utopia

Simon what's the difference between your input water and your pond reading? If you're putting sure RO water in (which should have a TDS near to 0) and your pond water still has a TDS of 140 then you've got a fair amount of dissolved substances coming from somewhere. Before you switched to RO what wa...
