Matty My experience of bio chips in my Nexus's was not a good one. They seemed to clump together below the bottom air ring and clog evrything up and if they escape they are a pain to clear from your pipes. I chucked them and reverted back to straight K1. Maybe others have had better experiences with...

Best bit was when the wife came down to have a peak before heading off to work and got a good drenching with water and good knows what!. Fortunately I set up a reception tank last night, pond had just hit 2...

Hi Andy I used car body filler to attach the foam, half a dozen splodges per sheet, hold for a few seconds and it's fixed. U can use a glue I think but body filler was the easiest option. Got through 3 large cans at £12 each - see your friendly car paint supplier in the yellow pages and get the c...

We used inch thick 4'x2' sheets from Polyfibre in Birmingham. suspect the Kingspan is a better buy though. Easy to install and saves rendering; took us about eight hours and provides a great key for fibreglass but make sure you keep it dry after fitting and before glassing. [img]http://www.koivista....

Since adding a Shower (of sorts) in March which flows 1000 gph through a metre of bio balls my Nitrate levels have dropped from over 100mg/l to 20mg/L and and are still decreasing despite 20% pw top up of tap water with Nitrate of 40mg/L! Can't comment on effects on other parameters as these were un...

I haven't had any problems when drilling fibreglass, either in a Fish tank or Boat. Holesaw will be OK, just make sure you drill in the right spot. Measure, check and measure again. If U are nervous of breaking out, then depending on location U can clamp a piece of wood against the exit side, if not...
