parasites and fresh water fish
How many species of parasite are there that prey on koi (carp) or fresh water fish in general, I ask as I watched a youtube video saying there are 9 species of parasite that target koi.

I have a question regarding salt and whether a trace of 0.1% salt should be in a freshwater pond ?
The videos I have been watching offers no real evidence as to why its needed other than that its a mineral and it help.

It took two emails and the answer is:
NO3, K and NH4 are in development. However, we cannot seem to get around the problem of other ions giving false readings.

I have sent them an email asking if they do or will do in the future circuits for KH and ammonia monitoring, i will post reply when i get it.

Is your pond UV light on or off ? I ask as this year I have not yet turned my light on and my water is not gin clear though its clear with a slight brackish tint, my pond is part shaded with some algae on the pond walls, i expected the water to turn green and it hasnt.
