Am doing further tests as between myself an alan we need to work out whether to run 4 or 5 membranes, with or without pump. As I dont want to push the efficiency ...

Re: Fake BHM

Yes agree and thats no sale 100quid is the proper price. Gotta say the material dont look right at all as the holes are much smaller and not sure itsas porous at all. If it were 50quid or less than may be worth a go but for 100quid may as well spend 40 more and get the proper stuff. Was it sold as M...

Recent koinations article very good on Micheal Cox's setup!

Re: Filter?

Two BD'S (aerated), one skimmer, ideally two but can compromise to save cost and running cost. One (or two) skimmer to Bakki shower(s) via sequence 18000 If possible have skimmer(s) gravity fed to sieve. BD's: two options. If limited on space; each to ultra sieve then bead (eco versions) If not limi...

Re: Lifetech Pumps

Thanks Bob thats a really good idea. Would you say given the application it would be better (more flow for same watts) than an eco 8000. Would be really interested to hear anyone who has one.

Lifetech Pumps

Remember alot of discussion about these pumps following the SE show in 2008. Was just wondering if anyone bought any and how they found them: reliable, output as much as stated, electricity usage same as promised. I am thinking of the Lifetech Flow pump HP12000 HP12000 flows 12000lt at a consumption...

Re: Conventional or bead filters

I would really think about the actual cost before going down the route of one of the conventional beads. I think all would agree they work very well and are easy to clean, and take up less space. But as Bob says its the cost. So if money no object then great. Just to tell you my experience i was run...
