Re: Is this Carp Pox?
There are more fish which are of quite some value with them. This thing seems to be spreding to the other fish. Also its 25 C and most sources on the internet suggest that the problem is reduced at those temperature but the truth is that it is more and more.. The picture I showed you before are from...

Re: Is this Carp Pox?
Okay what do I do ?
I have read a bit on the internet and is there a possibility it is coldwater ich ?
Well, right now the temperature of the water is 24+ Celsius. One fish seems with many lumps. 2 more fish seem to show signs of pox or whatever that is.
Should I remove them from the pond ?

Re: Switching food could cause death?
yea NH3 was zero. no2 was 0.5 no3 was 0.5
I did not measure the pH, I should have, because I really see any problem with the pH in my country as it is too hard to change.
The guy had the fish for 6 years, he never had such a thing and by switching diet all this happened.

Switching food could cause death?
Hey there, recently a friend of mine asked my opinion of koi food. He has 5-6 koi in a small tank for about 6 years. He had always feed them very low quality koi food. 4 He asked my opinin and I suggest to him a food that I use this time of the year which is very high in protein 44 percent and colou...

Hormonal Injection

Re: Mistakes after mistakes... Can I still do something?
Ok 6 days later after the first dose of flukes M, we did the second dose. We did not do any treatment for costia as we could not find costia on the other fish. Neither do they seem weaken or bad plus we decided to leave them a bit quite stressing them with the nets. Since then , we had no other dead...

Re: Fishless cycling
So even if you have this partitioning. Is this something negative? If you later on decide to change from series into all-in-one. What will happen to the media once they are put all next to each other. Will the nitrite bugs ( which will be unfamiliar with ammonia) have any problem?

Re: Mistakes after mistakes... Can I still do something?
A hobbist-professional kind of guy came to me and had a look. He said that I shouldnt be using FMG because I am not sure of the exact size of my pond (which is true) Also he said that the fish look fine. If they had a serious problem they would be rubbing and been FULL of ulcers and scraches. In my ...

Re: Fishless cycling
I have a question on nitrate cycle. If you have enough bacteria (nitrosomonas) to convert ammonia into nitrite. Does that mean that you will have enough good bacteria (nitrobacter) to make it into nitrate? Is it possible that only 1 type of good bacteria is developed? And in situations where you can...

Re: Seneye
I think the seneye is a great device. People often stop checing parameters of their water because everything "seems" good. However, with the seneye you can have it there and if it does go over the limit that you set, then you can see the red light. The only problem that I think of that dev...

Re: Mistakes after mistakes... Can I still do something?
Already ordered the second dose. Hopefully it makes it on time. If not , I will repeat the treatment from the start. Also some of the small black and red kois (2 of them) seem to have white scales on the top as if of a bacterial infection. But I cannot be sure. I will try uploading a picture if I ma...
