we dont know the relation or orientation of the pond in the garden so its hard to adjust your diagram. but i think youll find it hard to cram in all the pipework, valves, pumps, UV, air pump and filters in that area. it seems a little slim in the width. a better idea i think would be to have a recta...

no, not motor driven... hand driven but a hoover head that fits nicely across the bottom of the filter bay. you just would turn it on at one end and slide it slowly to the other end and then turn it off. least disturbance to the matter settled on the bottom.

Bob, if your going to make a new mould for the back/chute then have a look at making it out of "foamex" (the stuff they make signs out of) use the 10mm thick stuff. it cuts easily, sands well and glues together easily. and is a lot more flexible than MDF. also it has a natural waxy surface...

good idea with the chute and splash guard, why not include the sides as well then you could just make a flat panel for the front that clips on to encase the whole shower and a little hat for the top LOL. if your using the plastic media tray stuff you might want to add an extra SS bar across the midd...

bob as dave says get yourself some proper mould release wax. it contains other chemicals that car wax doesnt and makes a big difference when your using a wooden mould more than once. it also works really well as a car wax  i still think you should stick with the fibreglass and make your own br...

Bob, you seem to have a new string to your bow :D :D i bet your thinking "why didn't i ever try fibreglassing years ago"? my one piece of advice to you if your making your own moulds would be to use lots of silicon free wax and a liberal coat of PVA release agent (special purple sticky liq...
