Fluke-M does not work any more ?

Hi I am seeing on a few forums that Fluke-M does not seem to be working any more, and there are rumors that an ingredient has been removed/changed.This is even when people have used acetone to dissolve it,It might be me going mad (nothing surprising there I hear you say)BUT if you work out how much F...

Re: Another attempt to Remove Dermo

I have to agree you have done a good job there probably the most difficult place to treat dermo,I have treated it on the gill plate much easier to do.

Re: dermocystiduim

Hi I can remember a few years ago Duncan telling me no matter how good someone is at treating Koi if the koi has lost the will to live regardless of what we do it wont survive.

I always find it amazing how clever nature is sometimes complex and other times very simple but nearly always perfect.

Re: A Riddle

I cant think of a better way to describe this so bear with me is it like a fulcrum when one end is open the other is shut sort of like a beam engine working on a central pivot,I bet I am miles off track now

Re: A Riddle

Does this bone flex or move to keep the gill covers held tight to the body and as the other bones etc move it allows them to open but then flexes back to its original position to close the gill cover tight again.Probably got it arse about face

Re: Wanna make sure I'm not missing something

Hi Greg I would scrape three more koi to get a better idea of what is going on in the pond, also from the symptoms you describe it sounds like Costia.

Re: Death of a fish !!

This is very thought provoking I have been a fisherman for many years (not so much in the last 4 years)when trout fishing I use a priest not had any come round again, when I euthanize a Koi I use phenoxytol I leave it in there over night and give it a visit from the priest in the morning just to make...

Re: Regime When Treating A Pond

Hi Gazza the first thing I do is test my water it never really alters but better to know it is right.I turn off my protein skimmer but that is about it I turn it on later so some meds run through but I don't want it removing any treatment before it has done it's job.
