In theory it can be done, but as pointed out by ohers I think you will need a few cross braces to give the structure some strength and rigidity. I think your best bet is to go for a steel frame top and bottom. That way you can avoid the cross braces which won't do the fish any good if they decide to...

Would definitely like to see the pond a little bit deeper. On the other hand plywood sheets comes in 8'x4' so I am not too sure if I would be that tempted to go any deeper. I would forget about the base of ply in your case as I think it will probably cause more problems in the long run. I would shap...

I don't think that there is any special skills required. Just use a hole cutter and treated as you would plywood. Try to get the hole cutter square on to the surface your are cutting, don't use too much force. In order to get a neat exit hole you can try and clamp/tape a piece of plywood to the othe...

Del/Andy,

My attitude to showing is, it would be a shame/selfish not to show your fish if you are have top quality koi as there is no better promotion of the hobby than seeing top quality koi in the flesh.

You both have some top quality koi so you should show them.

regards,

David.

Hi Del, Personally I prefer the first picture, as it conveys a sense of power and volume where as the second one gives us a better look at the pattern. In the second photo it looks a little bit lost in the bowl, considering she is 70+cm that says something for the size of the bowl. I guess it is har...

Hi Del, Were the 2 photos taken around the same time? The kohaku looks totally different in terms of volume/size and impression. BTW have you seen Koi Vista operated by the Yorkshire Koi Society. You can upload your photos on there and then link them into your posts. This way we can all have a bette...

Andy, Nothing wrong with Toxteth, still go back now and then. As long as you don't park in the road you should be OK. The bookies is just across the road from the house, I wonder was that why my dad choose the house?! Del, As I said before I like your Kohaku the best. In my eyes it has real ...

Sorry that I can't be with you guys! The wife is soon off on a mission of mercy soon so I can't get away, otherwise I think a divorce is on the cards.

Have a good trip guys. I will be with you in spirit if not in body!
