Re: Pond lighting - Is it a science?

Tickers you need a bead system on your skimmer to "mop up" what your other systems will not do.

Re: Nexus 300 probs

Dave what happens with you rlevels when there is a power cut and water equalises? Does it flow over the filters and does the K1 go every where? Have you not tested/thought about this? Just an thought.

Re: Nexus 300 probs

EA quote 13,000 ltr per hour flow through the filters. your pump pulls (alledgedly) 15,000 ltr per hour hence the 2,000 difference. The swept bends will not increase flow but will still retstrict the flow back to the pond, however they are less restrictive than kncuckle bends. Is there any where els...

Re: Nexus 300 probs

2,000 ltr per hour may just be a tad too much pull from the filter but as with all things a level of tolerance would of been built into and with the restrictions of tthe bends added I wouldn't expect a loss in head of 9 inches. This is another reason why I want to see how "strong" the flow...

Re: Nexus 300 probs

Can you do a little video for me of the water that gets backflushed from th eouter chamber to the inner chamber? If you turn the pump off and allow the water to equalize. Put your 3 inch pipe in the centre as usual and either clean the Eazy or just drop the centre chamber. Once the water is gone tak...

Re: Nexus 300 probs

Just confirm what pupm you are running and how many restrictions/bends you have before the water returns back to the pool?

Re: Ultra sieve 111

To be honest you could put a larger pump on the Sieve and feed it as Bob described which is a new method to me and one I like, however I like to put the skimmer circuit on its on pump with either a UV and/or heater on there before returning back to the pond. I don't see where a larger pump will beif...

Re: Ultra sieve 111

The big disadvantage of doing this will be less water being pulled through your bottom drain and more waste settling in your drain through lack of pull from the sieve.
