Hello Mark, There's nothing more to report at the moment and I've stopped bowling her for weekly inspection and photos, as I see no benefit to stressing her with this. Aaargh. I've now seen the pictures and yes, this is very much how mine started.

I had a 'local' source for scalpel blades and had a couple of scalpel handles that I've had for ever, so can't help much there, but am sure others can advise.
