Re: New Pond build-Finally Got Some Fish In!

Hi Andy,

Great to hear you finally have some fish in the pond. Is everything running OK then? All the filter water levels and turnover working as you designed it to?

Fibreglassing is fun isnt it - lol

Re: Expanding Foam

Not totally sure Andy, may depend on foam type. So do a trial on something else before you do and try that first.

You can obviously glass onto kingspan, so you could easily foam fill, cut it flat, then cover with some aluminium sticky foil and glass over that!

Re: Triplewall polycarb

In my opinion this is the best and cheapest place to get poly carb from - http://www.casupply.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - you can order online, or at least work out what you want, phone them up to confirm and then have it delivered, even big 6m a 2.1m sheets.

Re: Heating the air, rather than the water?

Thanks for all your replies guys, very interesting subject

I guess Des is going to have to continue to heat the water, with a radiator (or two) to reduce the condensation a little

Re: RO Alterations

Nice and neat Gazza I thought you were running the same set-up as Dunc's, like I have also been running for ages? Dunc's way is to have all 3 membranes in parrallell, therefore each if fed with fresh water, not rejected water from the previous membrane as is the standard set up. Like Dunc I also don...

Heating the air, rather than the water?

I've been assisting Des with building a fish house around his pond. Firstly a large pergola, then covered all round in 25mm poly carb. Water is currently around 15 degress, it's real nice in there and has allowed Des to make many more changes/alterations to the electrics and decking in the warmth. O...
