Re: Solar pump for DIY Solar heater
you wont be able to run that pump straight from the solar cell. Its 12v 2.4amp. The cell puts out max 16v 390ma. Also states you need a battery. So how will you turn it off at night? you could have a timer which you keep changing i suppose... I looked into the light sensitive switch for running a 24...

Re: Solar pump for DIY Solar heater
I noticed a lot of the solar pump kits use batteries. So these ones wont achieve what you're after. Trouble is the ones ive seen that directly drive the pump from the panel seem very low output, i wouldnt bet on them being able to circulate up onto the shed roof for example. Maybe a fish tank powerh...

Re: Solar pump for DIY Solar heater
Ive thought about this also. Not sure how useful that solar pump will be.. maybe someone knows their output.
If not then maybe a 240v pump with some kind of light sensing switch?

Re: Nexus air solutions?
thanks. May have a mess around with some airstones. Are they now on the bottom and not 8" off the bottom like the air ring is? My only alternative is to buy another airpump, a 120l i guess (or what ea now call the 150l) but my numbers didnt come-up this week. How does everyones k1 behave after ...

Nexus air solutions?
My nexus 300 (pump fed) which ive had for 4 years doesnt seem to be turning over too well nowdays. Airpump seems ok (airtech 80, old style). A lot of the K1 seems to be sitting at the bottom! (i thought it floated..) and not getting tumbled. Ive cleaned the holes out a few times and enlarged them a ...

Re: GOLDEN TENCH,ANYONE HAVE THEM PLEASE?
I also used to keep a green and a gold tench with my koi, as mentioned they dont root around any more than the koi and certainly dont clean the bottom. They took koi pellets off the surface with the koi lol.

Re: Nexus on ebay
Never heard of one called a "standard". IIRC there was a 200 (foam block on inlet), a 300 (also foam block on inlet), a 2000 (a 200 with smaller answer), a 3000 (a 300 with bigger answer - 410?) and the 200 eazy and 300 eazy which obviously have the eazy fitted. The pic looks like a 300eaz...

Re: Any free fry available in Surrey area pls?
Hi, not been given any, just given up on the idea, funds lacking.... Yep, used to see the army lads running around the woods around here. They used to do excercises in the woods behind my old school. One day at lunchtime we were in there walking around and i noticed a tripwire flare setup across the...
