yeh will be inside my greenhouse the only problem is that it gets really humid in there....will the wood not just rot really quickly...even if i treated it?

cheers max and thanks for the pics...i live in solihull though mate....i have been pondering with the ibc tank and figure it may be my best option mainly coz of the volume and cost really...i'm gonna see wat i can rustle up

well 4.6x2.6x4 so looking at 299 g's but it would have to be linered???

advice on quarantine tank

i'm thinking of a bigger quarantine/growing on tank was going to build one out of wood but the space i have will only give me about 220 gallons....i'm thinking a cheaper option to building one may be an IBC tank; which will give me the same gallonage; filter and pump is already sorted i just wondere...

Finally!

i took the plunge and upgraded my kockney koi filter slightly today by using fluidized K1 in the last chamber will convert the third chamber when the last has matured rather than do it all in one go; dnt want to mess the fish around too much...hope it does the job...but by the sounds of all you lot ...

hi andy, i've got the same tank as yourself but with a presure filter, i've kept three koi very comfortably, there about 6/7", and the waters been at 19 degrees since they went in. i would have thought with the shower you could get a few more in there, so i would probably agree with gazza but g...

i agree with dave about the slope....i've got a 3ft deep pump fed system...... i wish i had made it at least 5ft and had a better slope... i get around it by having a very powerful airstone on which helps to move the waste...but this is not as effective as a good slope.
