Is that hozelock pipe on your return to the pond ? if so, it may be better to change it for food grade hose as this will prevent nitrite leeching into the pond.

If any one is in doubt about a bottom drain, have a look at this from you tube. They used pvc flakes instead of fish poo and the pump is a 45lpm Hakko

Filter change
I am currently running a CL3 and all my perameters are spot on - the water clarity is good but I want to get rid of the fines to be 100% clear.
At the moment I have:
Vortex
Brushes
JapMat
Alfagrog
Would I be better putting K1 in chamber 3 and japmat in chamber 4 or just put K1 in chamber 4 ?
