I have no problem doing 2 layers and a tissue but it costs more for no benifit whatsoever Remember all we are doing is providing a waterprroof lining which is smooth granted you may see the weave in the matting but in a couple of weeks thats gone with a suede covering or blanketweed :D 2 layers are ...

just watch the fumes when you are working low down as they are heavier than air a fan on the side works wonders. Flowcoat smells worse

no not correct read the post as outlined below it needs to be at the top at the junction of both rafters

the other alternative is to run a purlin each side supported from main trusses the main trusses need to be 6x2 rafters with trianglation and would need to be at 6-0 centres the intermediate rafters then could be 4x2 as the span will be split by the purlin either side. yes you need a cross beam to complete the triangle otherwise it will flex in any direction it likes and the structure will be unstable the cross beam can be at a higher level though but you must complete triangalation of the truss
