I have no problem doing 2 layers and a tissue but it costs more for no benifit whatsoever Remember all we are doing is providing a waterprroof lining which is smooth granted you may see the weave in the matting but in a couple of weeks thats gone with a suede covering or blanketweed :D 2 layers are ...

In reply to Tancho it all depends who does it mate as for quality of finish with one layer so please dont put all glassers in the same frame

the other alternative is to run a purlin each side supported from main trusses the main trusses need to be 6x2 rafters with trianglation and would need to be at 6-0 centres the intermediate rafters then could be 4x2 as the span will be split by the purlin either side.
