Jon, Sorry mate didn;t fully read/understand your situation re filter house. You wont end up with a 2 storey filter house mate & savbe yourself a lot of stres at this point. OK way to go.......................... you know your pond dims Z x Y your filter pit is beyond that point & i assume y...

Jon, Not bieng funny mate but why would you want to raise the floor level by almost a foot?? What are your overall idea's for the pond................... ultimate finished depth........... all in ground, some below & some above? Backfilling the floor by that amount with sand will just leave you ...

Hi, Re-painting over G4 is not the best idea, but you've started.................. so now you'll have to finish. :D Best way forward is this way, yes use the belt sander but use a really course gritted paper belt 40 or 60 grit!! Yes you will end up taken of the high spot's on the render you cant odd...

Hi Limey, Welcome back to the hobby!! :) Oval shape. Will be liner, bottom drain gravity feed . Could you elabirate a touch on that a bit mate, i take it's goner be part raised above ground & some in the ground? Are you using all blockwork or part block work? Many question's but 1 step at a time...

Hi Dean, Both the pumps you have mentioned are both good,.......... As you know both carry a fair price, also i have used, still useing & fitted on ponds seq 7 perfect's & find them very reliable. But if your looking for value for money i'd look at the Pond Eco range.. i know that tommy2pond...

Hi Pete, In preferance or order i would personally go for a bead filter instead of a sand filter! Although sand filters will give you superb clarity, you'll find you need to be out there every night backwashing the thing to keep it running/working properly, once a week/or longer is just no good for ...
