Cleaning fibre glass

I can anyone help me I need to clean the fibre glass as I'm closing the pond after 10years use a power blaster twice but still not clean enough to paint over as I want to make it a bar'becue area

Hi Amanda
That sounds like your pump is too fast to me, as I have that happen if I start my pump to quick before there's enough water in the Nexus after a clean.

Hi Amanda I have a Nexus300 and a pod on the skimmer with 17koi in 6400gallon pond, in the Nexus I have an old EA120lt air pump think it's now called the 150lt and 2X80lt air pumps in the pond and I don't have too many problems and the koi seem to grow OK, I also clean the Nexus and Pod at least eve...

Never seen the 2PPM KMNO4 dose rates, is it very dangerous to use 2PPM and I can only think you use that high a dose if your still having problems after the 1.5 dose?

Hi Duncan & all For the last 5-6years I have let the pond go down slowly to 10c in December and hold it there till the weather improves as the temperature goes up I hold it there to save on Electric as I only use Economy7 on my 8kw heater and my koi seem to be fine, and I feed them Pearl Barley ...

Hi Dave Sorry I didn't make myself very clear, and left it a bit so others can try and help with your on going problems, this is what I meant as you can get a build up of K1 and I try and keep every thing clean as possible. Hi Dave Two thing I have noticed over the years with my Nexus 300, I always back flush when I clean every day in the Summer and every other day in the Winter, the other thing when I clean the Nexus, I use a length of plastic to remove the K1 from each side on the inlet in the bio as I think it might...
