Re: Tricky BD Problem.... Help Please!!

HI, Sorry I missed this, First youve now doen exactly what I would of, but The cause of water in teh air line is one of two things, either condensation from the warm air leaving the pump cooling before exiting the drain, or the membrane on the drain has strtched a little or has a slight tear in it w...

Re: Alternative to block built pond

HI,, The Gunite ponds in America are pretty good, as for poured concrete. Yes it will be fine so long as its done properly. Remember that the cost of all the shuttering and support beams for the shuttering will be as much as the blocks themselves. Make sure you use a vibrating rod when you pour the ...

Re: Vortex Modification

HI Gazza, Sorry buddy but I actually have a criticism. You should of used stainless steel mesh on the bottom instead of the black plastic, When I did mine I placed a piece of stainles steel mesh over the hole on the bottom of vortex( To stop K1 escaping on drain downs), then ontop I placed a piece o...

Re: Air & where?

HI,
You could always just get a bottom drain conversion kit from the dealer near Burton on Trent I am not allowed to name.

Really simple to install and all comes made up, so no messing about.

Hi, One you wont find on the list is the Tancho Showa. ALL tancho are a result of breeding the respective variety, i.e. Kohaku spawning will produce the odd Tancho, basically a kohaku with one hi plate located centrally on the head. the same applies with Sanke and Showa. NO breeder has secured a Tan...

Hi Guys, Interesting thread, that will be talked about as long as people breed koi. My view is this, The Japanese have had several generations, of developing there own bloodlines, learning from others and there own fish and then passing this information on down the generations, they have time honour...

Hi, I have just spent the day at Cuttlebrook, giving Mark and Lisa a hand with the selecting and sorting of fish, well I cant wait for the Autumn harvest to see some of those babies again, stunning kohaku and Showa, and one or to Sanke that caught my eye ( and thats from a man who doesn't like Sanke...

Thanks,
From April until october the pond was unheated, just good food,
Then when the heat went on over winter, the pond was kept at 23 degrees!

I also have a Gin Rin Chag from Cuttlebrook which was purchased at the same time.

She went from 8" to 15"
