Re: air pumps - 2 x 50l, or 1 x 100l ?

ed, according to make of course differentials may occur ,looked quickly at hi blows and 100ltrp\m is 95\100w ..40s at 38watts and 80s at 71 watts, seem pretty comparable on watts to ltrs within reason ,but may not apply to all pumps\makes...so a good point\tip to look at when buying pumps or other el...

Re: air pumps - 2 x 50l, or 1 x 100l ?

adam, carlejo has hit the nail on the head really, as we hopefully get warmer weather in summer o2 levels in water will drop due to warmer water not being able to retain the desired levels, so if you lose one at least you can still feed o2 hungry bio with at least some o2 till you get the other repa...

Re: Fluid bed filters

Re: Fluid bed filters

hi flemming, fluid bed filters are pretty good at giving you good water quality and good bio reasonably quickly and do provide a massive surface area for the bio to grow on , but i would not run a koi pond solely on a fluid bed system alone, as a supplimentary system yes, along side a nexus =koi hea...

Re: New Pond Build

rodders,...gazza is about right when it comes to glassing the pond in comparison, if you get the right bloke to glass it for you the cost will be about the same , give or take as the paint ,but the glass will last at least 25 years, the paint wont.as for the drain the glass will be lapped into it mak...
