Re: Aquadyne bead filter.

I use a TOP12 in the summer and TOP8 in the winter. Both do the job fine.

Cleaing the drain diffuser without getting wet!

Hi all,

the diffuser on my bottom drain is a few years old now and seems to have clogged up a fair bit - any good ideas for improving the situation without me getting wet! Is a brush on a pole going to work?

It is causing some back pressure now so will need to be sorted soon.

Regards,
Ian

Koi Hut - Japanese Shoji Style

Hi all. I am thinking of building/getting built a "hut or shed" for my bead filter and kit and want it to have a pseudo japanese feel. Does anyone know where I can source some opaque material, probably some type of plasitc or pvc I suppose, to create some shoji sytle doors/windows as in th...

Just call to see if we are in. Dave e, I don't know the promax pump so I really can't say. You need a pressure pump with a lot...

Re: Multi Cyclone Centrifugal Water Filter

Hi Jules, How are you doing. I've got one. Gadget mad as you know. They do work but you do need a pressure pump - Badu type etc - still got the one I had off of you. It does reduce the flow a bit but then again it stops a bit more rubbish going into the Bead filter. The pressure in my bead filter ha...

How do you clean your Sieve grids?

I think I need to give my sieve grid a clean up.

Do I use bicarbonate soda or caustic soda please? (is there a difference?)

I have read that you can put it in the dishwasher  - has anyone tried this?

Any other ideas?

TIA. Ian.

With you on this one Jules, as you know from my pond. :( The air dome is excellent but it cuts the pond surface "in half "and surface debris gets pushed by the air to collect at each end. If I can get get my skimmer operatonal again I will put the air on a timer to allow the whole pond sur...
