Re: Pond UV
I would have to say if running pump fed set ( pump in the pond then to the filter ) you need as few bends or restrictions on the return pipe work from the filter. and the return pipework should be 4 inch but you could get away with a 3 inch pipe if running a water pump under 6000lt per hour. having ...

Re: ebay
i have to say I have orderer things on e bay from England and waited a week for them to come. but I also order lots from Japan that make it here in 3 days. even USA only take 6 days. you would think that people selling on ebay in the UK are ordering things from china and places. wait for it to come ...

Re: Purifier help insulation protection
I would say syd is spot on with the water pipe. it does need to be in the ground to stop it freezing up. but if not possible foam lagging will help. as for the purifier can you not cover it with hotwater jacket. the type you get for the house. better still if it can be placed in a plastic box and ha...

Re: use of ozone . good or bad?
thank you so much for the reply . the set up is this one http://www.absolute-koi.com/prod2100.html. my main worry was the ozone been mixed in the tube and going straight back into the pond even using a 2m length of pipe work. your idea of having it run into a large box and having some air stones in ...

Re: RO water ?
thank you both for your answers ... I did like the idea of giving the koi a better water to live in but as you said if I was to miss just one thing when running the RO it could wipe out the fish by making a huge Ph crash. I would think getting it set up is not only down to adding the RO set up but a...

use of ozone . good or bad?
hi everyone. i have just got an ozone set up for xmas for the pond. it says the recommended setting should be 300mlv but would it be ok to run at at 200mlv? that last thing I want to do is have sterile water that the fish can not cope with. it is just that when using PP you should keep it at 4mlv fo...
