Hi Duncan,
I'm sure It use to be on a post here somewhere but seems to have gone missing? Can you please explain the difference between malachite oxalate ANC malachite chloride for Koi meds.

Thanks

Re: Kingspan fixing to pond walls

The 3/4tube was on 8x4 sheets. The foil tape I think it's probably the same stuff as I only found one type in builders merchants.

Re: Kingspan fixing to pond walls

Re: Air Up Lifts

Try running the air-lines in parallel not in series and I'd have a small airstone on the end of each line.

Bob,

Have you considered building a series of concete block pillars that will support decent roof plates, you could then polycarb between the pillars in winter and enclose the pond completely?

Bob, You will have to make sure your inlet "washes" the floor to the sumps, but for sure the air uplift principle can be applied anywhere and air is the most energy efficient way of moving water. I'm surprised no-one has designed a modified vortex chamber that flushes all the waste by air....

If you can purge fish waste from the system sooner rather than later it is of benefit. It begins to break down fairly quickly dependent predominantly on temperature and becomes more neutrally buoyant. The waste while it remains in the water/water column is detrimental. In the general scheme of thing...

Here Bob that Heat exchanger doesn't appear to have been plumbed in according the the manufacturers instructions as it's horizontal not vertical. I take it the only problem with doing it this way is that if you wanted to drop the thermometer in the socket on the top it would easily drop/pull out? Or...
