Re: Praziquantel malachite green and formaldehyde

Thanks Dunc,

Well I have some of your prazi so if I still have problems after the flubenol I'll hit 'em again with the FMG prazi combo.

Will let you know how it goes.

Re: Praziquantel malachite green and formaldehyde

Duncan, Is there any evidence of prazi being ineffective in ponds filtered by drums and or BHM? I have a trickle in of 10 - 12% per week and have topped up the flukesolve to counter this. I ask because last year and this year I have had recurring problems with gill flukes. In spring last year I used...

Mel,

There's a post about costia on the dark side where Chris at QueniKoi uses it.

Not tried it persoanlly, prefer FMG or salt.

Re: Praziquantel discoveriesun

Hi Duncan,

Have ordered some prazi from you today, having trouble in my pond with gill fluke (again)!

Do you reckon to use malachite green as well when using the formalin to dissolve the prazi?

Thanks

Hi Dunc

In his first post he mentions Fluke Solve irritating his koi. Second post talks about flubenol.

Good news about you stocking prazi !

Re: Praziquatel & N-cyclopropyl-1

Hi Tucker I have used Fluke Solve quite a bit. You'll find that your fish will flash for 24 to 36 hours after treatment - as the flukes die off they irritate the koi more - I assume they wriggle more before they die - this is normal, don't worry about it. I have used the commercially available Fluke...

For sale - Sequence x 2 + Hidro Clean

Hi I have two Sequence 15,000S pumps for sale. One has been in use on my pond for 18 months on the bottom drain, Nexus 310. Works fine, no problems or leaks. I will clean it up before sale. £150. The second is still boxed; it was used for two weeks but had a small leak. This was due to a faulty seal...

Re: split pec fin

Way too busy at the weekend but finally got round to bowling the Asagi today to inspect the damage.

Fortunately the anal fin has started to heal and is already showing good granulation between the two rays. Decided to leave well alone and let the koi sort itself out.

Re: split pec fin

I have to do this in the anal fin of my asagi tomorrow after she jumped out. Will be trying the superglue and stitches approach and will take some pictures before and after. If these look good will post on here.

Re: Koi care treatment

Agree with Markey, wouldn't use anything Pukka Danny produces on my koi when we have plenty of other options available including Duncan's treatments, as well as Kusuri and Fish Treatment Ltd.
