Re: DOC and feeding

Hi Garfield, nope, no response and I'd forgotten I'd even asked it but thanks for resuscitating the topic and fingers crossed for someone to quench our interest.........

Cheers

Re: Moving house and need super fast pond !!!

Hi Gary, No experience of pre-formed ponds and the only one I have seen came over from central Europe and was very expensive, so thought you may consider a holding tank whilst you got a new pond built. I bought a vat last year when I needed to work on the pond but my one is far too small for your si...

DOC and feeding

Sat with a little 'n large (scotch 'ginger) enjoying a cool evening by the pond and thought I'd ask a question that's been on my mind for a while. I have a Febi foam fractionator that does a good job but don't have it on all the time and on those occasions a little DOC builds up, being a small amoun...

Re: Girlfiend up all night spawning!

Glad to provide a happy story and having just read my post, I would like to clarify my girlfriend did not wet the bed  , it was early when I tapped this in!

All fish are fine and I found Shiro with his caudal fin in the air and a cigar in his mouth, cheeky blighter :D

Girlfiend up all night spawning!

Not sure where to put this post but a little light reading for Health! Due to someone's snoring (can't be me I never hear it), my girlfriend spent last night in the spare room to be awakened by our little ones getting it on in the night. She eventually managed to wake me up and I've spent the last 1...

Re: Seneye

Skatty, Still have my Seneye but changed 'puter to a Mac and not sorted out Parallels software to enable me to use Seneye, as it needs windows to run. Think I saw something about not needing a 'puter at all but may have made that up. Generally though I think they have positive reports and not a grea...

Re: Seneye

Thought I'd pop an update on here, as I went for it and popped a Seneye on my pond last week. I soaked the slip for 48 hours (from reviews this seems to get over problems some have with 24 hours) and then on Thursday, whilst rigging it up, I got a call from Hanna to whom I had sent my main machine t...

Re: Showa with mouth stuck open, help please

Many thanks for the reply Duncan. I had seen your in depth article and shall re-read it several times more before feeling my way with her mouth. I hear what you say about AB and salt, already onto that. One question though regarding the lip, is there anything I should be aware of here, can the lip c...

Showa with mouth stuck open, help please

Hi all, As above, I have looked in her mouth and gills but cannot find anything which would be causing this. As a matter of course I have scraped her and found no parasites. She now has dropsy (no fluid, so just 'normal' dropsy) which I think is secondary to the main issue of not being able to close...

Seneye

Hi all, Been looking at this recently and wondered if anyone has any experience of them (no trace on search). On the face of it they look a good bit of kit and not too pricey but I wonder whether they live up to their word. http://www.seneye.com/ Can't find a great deal on them but have been keeping...

Sump pump with float switch - BNIB

Hi all, Erbauer ERB400SWP Appreciate you shall all know what these are for but just in case (apologies to rest), I use one of these in my filter set up in a sump. I flush the filters into the sump and as the water rises, it lifts the float switch which then automatically turns the pump on and it the...

Re: Help with compact sieve

Hi Andy, Hopefully I attach some piccies showing my airline round the screen - just the normal small airline cut lengthways - not a job after a few beers!
