Very Strange, I too had a problem on my 200 where the media gathered in one area, after checking the Nexus was level, I spoke to Harvey at E/A , he asked if i was in a hard or soft water area. Where I am the water is hard, however other items can block the air holes. He suggested drilling the holes ...

With 250 litres of K1 in the bio area of the Nexus , really you need an Airtech 150 , the 130 is only rated for upto 150 litres. This is probably why it is not turning well in the bio area.

If your outer chamber (bio) is a lot lower than the inner chamber, and also the media is gathering around the exit plate , then you need to slow the flow down, It can take time to equal it out via valves etc. If the media is not bubbling on the far side of the nexus it may not be on a level base. To Question 1 - Nexus manufactured after March 2006 are different. The capacity of media for the outer (moving bed) area has been made larger so as can fit 300 litres of K1 against the recommended 200 litres on the earlier model.
