Yes this was done by Jules on my pond nearly two years ago now, no problems whatsoever, dread to think of the maintenance i would have had if he hadnt arrived in his big black shiny bomber :lol: :lol:

Nicarper, the height of my pond wall above ground level is near enough 3 ft give or take a couple of inches as to how the ground lies around it, the pictures do make it look more but have been out and measured.

Hello Jules, fostering coming to an end soon, work commitments bit too much (tied to a desk now :oops: ) hope things are good your end you seem busy enough, have not done anything as yet with the drains but am thinking of having a go if it ever drys out long enough! Pond is fibreglassed, window has a stainless steel frame from springbank koi in Preston, Z frame it is called so has a 3 inch lip which sits on the inner wall. Have two lintels above the window.

Hi mine is 2ft below ground level and 3 ft above, 9 inch blocks laid flat, been up now nearly 3 years and no problems, one wall is 17 ft long and has a window in it. I have no outer skin or facia bricks just the 9 inch.

Hi all, my TT is making foam on the surface, it has a 2" outlet, is there any modification i can add to trap and remove the foam effectively turning it into a protein skimmer.

I think which way we go on the filter route depends upon who we are introduced to the hobby by, i happened upon Richdons site and so went down the BB route, water is fine fish are fine so am happy, did have an extremely nice fellow fit my BD and offer advice which i now see would have saved me work ...
