Did you get rid of the Trich.

In 2008 I had a very bad strain, it took 4 doses of PP every third day to get rid. Harsh treatment, but it worked in the end.

Sometimes its hard when you're not sure what you are seeing, so people tend not to reply. Thank you for that. Problem is now there is salt in the pond what if you have White Spot, and need to use Machalite and Formalin. Or Costia... You should really never treat unless you know what it is you are treating for. Salt is good for some things, but not in a main pond. Let us know what the scrape said, and maybe ...

With a KH of only 1 aren't you risking high ph swings?

My kh dropped from 6 to 2 from my supply water and I had my ph swing from 7 to 10!!!!! my fish were trying to jump out and I don't blame them.
